Sr/Jr Trip to New York City - Letter from Explorica

Dear Families of Leipsic High School,

First, we want to extend an apology for any stress you may have experienced recently as our organization has worked to confirm the plan for your group. As of today, we have confirmed with Senora Beaupre that we will postpone the tour until next March.

I know this is disappointing news, but I hope it also comes as a relief as our community tackles this global health challenge. While I hope most of you will be able to travel with us and still experience this enriching program that we’ve been planning all year, I realize life may get in the way of unforeseen changes like this.

Explorica is working to create flexible options for families that wouldn’t be available in normal circumstances. If you are able to travel on the new dates, you are all set! You don’t have to do anything and we’ve taken care of updating your account to the new dates.

For those of you who cannot join the tour on these new dates, we are offering a transferable voucher for the full amount paid for the tour. This voucher can be applied to any program in the WorldStrides family. o This voucher can be redeemed for future travel, or any program under the WorldStrides umbrella for two years (through 12/31/22). o They are fully transferable to a family member or to anyone in your school, which means you can sell the voucher to recoup your costs. o

The WorldStrides family of products includes teacher-led tours, performing arts, sports, service-learning, study abroad for college students, and much more. Here is a link to all the programs that the voucher can be redeemed on: https://worldstrides.com/programs/

I hope these options represent our commitment to work with our customers during these unprecedented times for the travel industry, and the world. I’m sure you can appreciate that this is a situation of unparalleled scale for us, and the financial realities are challenging in many ways. We hope to continue to identify ways to make this work for your family, as this situation unfolds.

Sincerely, The Explorica Team
